“Hey, what’s going on?” -I
It has been far too long since I updated this blog, partly because I find it awkward to write about myself* even in letters to individuals, let alone to the echoing cavern that is the internet, but mostly because I’ve been cheating on this blog with a different blog.
As of today, I’ve written 61 posts for TerribleTarot.com. It’s a humour site about tarot, or more accurately about worst case scenarios, using tarot cards for themes. Themes in bloggery are important, so I’m told. There’s also a loose story woven in, and a handful of recurring characters. Things are about to go bonkers. Stay tuned.
Ooh! Ooh! [PUTS UP HER HAND AS IF SHE WERE IN SCHOOL] Also, two of my horror stories will soon be published in anthologies.
Enigma Front: Burnt, this year’s IFWA anthology has my story “The Red Bulb” about a young woman looking for her brother who might be dead, might be haunting her, and might be trying to warn her about something truly horrific. Here is the cover art:
Mad Science Journal is including my story “The Face on the Wall, and the Chainsaw”, about a tree spirit made human when someone cuts down his tree, (there are gangsters in it, and moving vans, and also other things) in their upcoming anthology Fitting In: Historical Accounts of Paranormal Subcultures. I highly recommend the stuff they’ve already published. As well as entertaining, it’s highly educational. Never have I learned so much about mad science.
That’s pretty much it, besides a couple of novels I’m working on, and a screenplay. Those are not nearly finished enough to discuss.
Cheers,
*Yes, yes, platform, platform, sell yourself, etc. I know.

I was just thinking yesterday how I hadn’t heard from you for a while. Congrats on the publications – it’s good to know you’ve got a lot of pots on the boil.
