(moved from old blog) author’s interruption: a hungry screenplay
I’m taking a couple of days off from Margot D. to catch up, marathon-style, on a feature-length screenplay that I’ve been writing. In my script, I’ve got a small but vital character who sometimes appears as a mysterious disembodied voice. Near the end, it will be revealed that this character is actually someone we have met before who had been silent at the time. I need to call the disembodied voice something in the script before the big reveal but I don’t want to give away a plot twist. That said, I’d rather not have to change the name in the dialogue once “we” learn who it really is.
Any thoughts?
